After thirteen years of the same golden yellow, Tuscany orange and dark green walls in the café, we decided it was time for a change in the appearance of An Tobar Nua, so we voted on new paint colors and we thought you’d like to see the transformation.

We  have a new worker who joined us for a summer internship. Lyndsay Baker, our first student from Biola University is with us July and August. The past school year was so busy that we have a lot of things we need to get “caught up on” over the summer, so the extra hand is helpful.

2011 - 2012 An Tobar Nua Staff

In August we will finish out our 13th year since the café opened. It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since we (the Currys) set foot in Ireland, and thirteen years have passed since we opened the doors of An Tobar Nua.

The Lord has sent so many wonderful people to work in this ministry and brought so many people through the doors of the café and bookstore. We’ve enjoyed relationships with scores of secondary school students, numerous Scripture school students seeking to grow deeper in God’s Word, and we’ve had the privilege of journeying with many people through their prayer and counseling needs.

As we ease through the summer days, we are well aware that just a few weeks from now, school will begin again. With that will come the rigors of the quicker pace of busier lunch times and serving through the café, while also ministering in the retreat work in local schools.
